At Joe's Landscaping we use traditional methods in building hard scapes and simple methods in building patios, retaining walls and grading. 1. What you also mean by carpentry?
In our sense, carpentry is an important basic skill when building strong wood framing or scaffolds for the stone laying. we also use that skills in contemporary landscaping. We have extensive knowledge in building timber landscaping, as well as trellis building, mail posts, creative and unique landscape furniture, fencing, gate building and much more. We also work with local sawmills, tree service, and material suppliers to make your landscaping project more unique. For clients who are budget concise- we can use more economical materials and apply our skills to achieve the best results. No job too small, we can replace anything ranging from damaged fencing panel to repairing damaged custom wood works to full blown yard construction projects. We can use any wood, but we prefer to source and support locally harvested lumber such as durable black locust, eastern red cedar and white oak for outdoor applications. This is cheaper and better for the earth than imported tropical wood such as teak.
  1. What is your approach on the grounds and landscaping installation?
Our approach is to lean towards the organic approach. Although we still do conventional practices for clients who wish to do so. Some time tested methods are quite simple and common- sense based as well as organic because back then there were no chemicals used for gardening. Also, over the time we also picked up updated information from the books so we are always open to improvements in our methods so in result you will get the latest and the top choice in this service.

These services should be customized to meet your needs by our recommendations. Simple as that. We can discuss with you services need and then customize to meet your budget and needs. For example, a shady yard will need different kind of care and requirements than the sunny ones, and what method to trim a specific shrub.
    1. What is an ideal fertilizing program to promote the best turf growth?
We follow the industry standard for turf fertilizing. we believe maintaining a healthy turf following the plan below can make it 99% weed free and healthy and lush lawn like a rug- we can customize the service. However, its still important to give the turf a regular maintenance in order to make your lawn enjoyable.
    Here's what it looks like:
    1. Premergent weed control (crab grass and weed preventer)
    2. Post emergent weed control
    3. Summer stress relief
    4. Late summer fertlizing with weed control or spot spraying treatment
    5. Winter prep fertlizer (helps with strengthening the roots of turf for better lawns next year)
      1. Do you offer insecticides?
We do not use insecticide unless it's an emergency. However, regular maintenance will result in a low numbers of insects and yes, we believe insecticides can throw out the natural food chain balance. There are many beneficial insects on the lawn to help control the bad bug population and enhance soil fertility along with regular maintenance. Remember, they are much, much smaller than you. The vast majority does no harm but there is only one deadly poisonous bug in this state, that is the black widow spider, and they usually live in untouched mess and high moisture; which can be prevented in the first place. However, we cannot guarantee you that, but we can guarantee a nice and well maintained lawn and landscapes with minimal problems.
      1. Does it end there?
No! We have much more knowledge, just ask us!
